Cross-device sync flow
Your identity should not be tied to a single device. Solident makes it possible to move securely between devices while keeping the same biometric identity and wallet access.
"Your identity travels with you, not your hardware."
1. New Device Setup
User installs Solident on a new device.
The system prompts for a face scan and pattern input to begin the sync process.
2. Recovery Key Connection
The user provides their encrypted recovery key.
The recovery key re-links existing biometric templates and pattern hashes to the new device.
Without the recovery key, identity cannot be migrated.
3. Fresh Verification
A new face scan is performed locally on the new device.
The system ensures the scan matches the existing encrypted template.
The user redraws their pattern, which is checked against the stored hash.
4. Secure Rebinding
Once both checks succeed, the wallet and identity are re-initialized on the new device.
The old device can either remain active or be revoked by the user.
Tokens issued on the old device automatically expire to prevent parallel hijacking.
5. Sync Principles
Device-independent: Identity belongs to the user, not the hardware.
Multi-device capable: Users can securely maintain access on multiple devices.
Revocable access: Lost or stolen devices can be deactivated via recovery key.
The cross-device sync flow ensures that Solident identities remain portable and secure, enabling users to switch devices without losing trust or continuity.
