Phase 1 — MVP Launch

Focus: Deliver the core experience of a keyless, biometric-first wallet on Solana.

Phase 1 is all about proving that the Solident model works in practice: users can create a wallet, log in, and interact with Solana DeFi without ever touching a seed phrase. This is the foundation upon which all future expansions will be built.

"The first milestone: no seed phrases, no passwords, just your face and a simple pattern to unlock Solana."

Core Deliverables

  1. Biometric enrollment and login

    • Users register their face as the primary identity factor.

    • A pattern lock (3x3 grid) is added for second-factor authentication.

    • Verification happens locally, inside the device’s secure enclave.

    • Login flow mirrors the ease of unlocking a smartphone, but signs cryptographically at the wallet level.

  2. Keyless Solana wallet generation

    • Wallets are generated without exposing seed phrases to the user.

    • Keys are bound to biometric and pattern factors, never displayed or exported.

    • Recovery is handled natively through the same face + pattern, not through insecure backups.

  3. SOL transfers with face re-check

    • Sending SOL requires a step-up authentication: users must re-verify their face.

    • This ensures sensitive actions cannot be automated or triggered without presence.

    • Transfer flow:

      • Enter recipient address or scan QR

      • Input amount of SOL

      • Face re-check before confirming

      • Transaction signed and sent

  4. Jupiter v6 swap integration

    • Native integration with the Jupiter aggregator on Solana.

    • Users can perform token swaps with the same biometric + pattern authentication flow.

    • This validates Solident not just as a wallet, but as a DeFi access layer from day one.

  5. Responsive UI (desktop + mobile)

    • A single, consistent interface that works across desktop and mobile browsers.

    • Adaptive layouts for different screen sizes.

    • Intuitive onboarding flow that guides users through face enrollment, pattern setup, and their first transfer or swap.

Security Enhancements in Phase 1

  • Local-first verification: All face scans and pattern checks happen on-device.

  • No seed phrases exposed: Removes the #1 cause of lost or stolen assets.

  • Step-up checks for transfers: SOL transfers require face re-check to block automated exploits.

  • Encrypted templates and hashes: Biometric and pattern data are never stored in raw form.

Limitations in Phase 1

  • Only supports SOL transfers and swaps (limited SPL tokens supported via Jupiter).

  • Works on one device at a time, no cross-device continuity yet.

  • No portfolio dashboard or multi-token management.

  • Mobile support is browser-based; native apps come in Phase 3.

Outcome of Phase 1

  • A live, working MVP that demonstrates the biometric + pattern model in Solana.

  • Users can create a wallet, send SOL, and swap tokens — all without seed phrases.

  • The responsive UI ensures accessibility from both desktop and mobile browsers.

  • Establishes Solident as a keyless entry point to Solana DeFi.

Phase 1 is the proof point: if users can onboard in seconds and transact with only their identity factors, then the foundation for Solident as a biometric identity layer is validated.
