Authentication Model (Face + Pattern)
Solident introduces a two-factor model that blends the natural ease of biometrics with the strength of pattern-based security. This approach ensures that access is simple for users yet highly resistant to modern attacks.
"Your face proves who you are. Your pattern confirms only you are in control."
1. Face Verification
During enrollment, the device captures the user’s face and creates a biometric template.
The template is encrypted immediately and never stored as raw video or images.
Verification happens locally on the user’s device, meaning your face data never leaves your secure environment.
2. Pattern Unlock
Users create a pattern on a 3x3 grid by connecting at least four points.
The pattern is transformed into a hashed sequence and stored securely.
The raw pattern itself is never saved, only the hashed result.
Biometrics alone can be spoofed. Patterns alone can be guessed. Together, they form a resilient access layer.
3. Combined Authentication
Login requires both factors: a valid face scan and the correct pattern.
This ensures that even if one factor is compromised, the account remains protected.
Solident also allows step-up authentication.
Face scan alone can be used for quick actions like viewing balances.
Face plus pattern is required for high-value actions such as withdrawals, swaps, or contract approvals.
4. Recovery and Continuity
Users are provided with an encrypted recovery key during setup.
If the device is lost or replaced, the recovery key can restore both biometric templates and pattern hashes securely.
This design ensures permanent access without exposing sensitive data.
Why this model matters
The combination of face verification and pattern unlock provides:
Human-friendly access that feels natural
Security resistant to phishing, deepfakes, and replay attacks
Flexibility for different levels of actions
A future-proof foundation for biometric identity in DeFi
Security does not have to be complicated. It just needs to be personal.
