How does face + pattern unlock work?
Solident uses a dual-factor authentication system combining facial recognition with pattern unlock for maximum security and convenience.
Face Recognition
Enrollment: When you first set up Solident, the app captures multiple images of your face from different angles
Vector Creation: These images are converted into a unique mathematical representation (face vector)
Local Storage: The face vector is encrypted and stored locally on your device only
Verification: When you log in, the app compares your current face with the stored vector
Pattern Unlock
Pattern Creation: You create a unique pattern by connecting dots on a 3x3 grid
Encryption: The pattern is used as an additional encryption key
Combination: Both face recognition AND pattern must match to access your wallet
Security Features
Liveness Detection: Prevents spoofing with photos or videos
Local Processing: All biometric data stays on your device
Failed Attempt Limits: Account locks after multiple failed attempts
No Server Storage: Your biometric data is never stored on our servers
Why Both?
Using both face and pattern provides:
Convenience: Face recognition is quick and easy
Security: Pattern adds an extra layer of protection
Backup: If face recognition fails, you can still use your pattern
