Is my biometric data stored on a server?
No — your biometric data is never stored in raw form and is never visible to Solident or any third party.
Here’s how it works:
When you scan your face, the raw image is turned into a non-reversible mathematical template.
The template is encrypted (AES-256) immediately and never leaves the secure enclave in plain form.
Your pattern input is also hashed (SHA-3 + salt) and encrypted.
For continuity:
Encrypted templates and pattern hashes are automatically backed up to decentralized storage.
This ensures your identity can be restored if you switch or lose devices.
The backup contains only encrypted data, without your live face and pattern, it cannot be used by anyone else.
So while there is an automatic backup, it is end-to-end encrypted and useless without your biometric + pattern factors. No raw images, videos, or plain-text patterns ever leave your device.
