Is my biometric data stored on a server?

No — your biometric data is never stored in raw form and is never visible to Solident or any third party.

Here’s how it works:

  • When you scan your face, the raw image is turned into a non-reversible mathematical template.

  • The template is encrypted (AES-256) immediately and never leaves the secure enclave in plain form.

  • Your pattern input is also hashed (SHA-3 + salt) and encrypted.

For continuity:

  • Encrypted templates and pattern hashes are automatically backed up to decentralized storage.

  • This ensures your identity can be restored if you switch or lose devices.

  • The backup contains only encrypted data, without your live face and pattern, it cannot be used by anyone else.

So while there is an automatic backup, it is end-to-end encrypted and useless without your biometric + pattern factors. No raw images, videos, or plain-text patterns ever leave your device.
